If you click the Analytics Dashboard, you will be taken to the Analytics Dashboard screen­­­.

Analytics Dashboard

The Analytics Dashboard is where you will find detailed Portal visitor analytics data giving you a fill info on your Portal visitors, where they are coming from, when they are coming, what they are doing on your Portal and how much time they are spending and engaging on your Portal. Initially, you won’t see much data here when you first start as you haven’t gotten any visitors yet. This data will fill in as more visitors visit your Famecast Portal. If you are just getting started, come back to this page in  a few weeks or a month and you will get rich data about your Famecast Portal visitors.

Filters

Filters allow you to parse and segment the data to create unique views of your Portal visitors and what they are doing on your Portal. You can segment the data by Date Range or Segments.

Data Range

You can adjust the Analytics data range view by clicking on the Date Range tab at the top left of the Analytics Dashboard.

You can select date range in the Calendar pr click a period range in the Period list (day, week, month, year, date range). If you click Date Range, an end month Calendar appears:

Segments

The second filter tab that reads All Visits is for Segments, where you can filter the data by segments such as Visitors, Visit Location, Custom Variables, Behavior, Events, Acquisition and Ecoommerce. All Visits is the default segment and gives you a report view of all visits on your Portal. Segments is for advanced users so we don’t suggest you do anything here unless you want to dive deeper. Click it if you want to select a Segment view to filter (advanced).

Analytics Segments

If you click the Add New Segment button, you will be able to create Segments based on Actions in Visit (advanced).

You can further refine the Segment based on segments such as Visitors, Visit Location, Custom Variables, Behavior, Events, Acquisition and Ecoommerce.

Visits Overview (with graph)

This chart shows you’re your Portal visits in a graph. You can click on the graph icon to customize the graph view.

Analytics Visits Summary

Visits Summary is a summary of your Famecast Portal visitor statistics. You can see data points such as visits, unique visitors, average visit duration, visits that have bounced, actions, pageviews,, etc.

 

Actions per Visit

Analytics Actions per Visit

Actions per Visit is the average actions per visit of your visits. An action is a page view, download, outlink and/or internal site search.

Avg. Time on Website

Analytics Avg Time on Website

Avg. Time on Website is the average amount of time spent per visitor on your Famecast Portal. A low Avg. Time on Website is usually under 2 minutes and indicates users may not that interested in your Portal once that have first visited because the content is not relevant or engaging to them or the content is not updated and stale. To fix low Avg. Time on Website, one should make sure your Famecast Portal frequently with new content and posts and make sure the content is engaging.

Bounce Rate

Analytics Bounce Rate

Bounce Rate is the percentage of users that bounce off your Famecast Portal, in other words, the percentage of users that hit your first page and leave without going to any further pages. A high bounce rate, which is typically over 60%, is a sign that users may not that interested in your Portal once that have first visited because the content is not relevant or engaging to them or the content is not updated and stale. They could have also come to your Portal accidentally. To fix high bounce rates, one should make sure your Famecast Portal frequently with new content and posts and make sure the content is engaging.

Conversion Rate

Analytics Conversion Rate

Conversion Rate is the rate of conversion for what you want users to do on your Portal (e.g. buy a product or event ticket, sign up for a membership, etc.). A low conversion rate, which is typically below 30%, %, is a sign that users may not that interested in the product, event, membership, or content on your Portal. To fix low conversion rates, one should make sure that what you want users to do is attractive or appealing to your visitors or the offer of the product or service is enticing.

Pages

Analytics Pages

Pages is a list of Portal web pages that are the most visited on your Portal. This gives you insight into what pages are working on your Portal. Visit each of the Pages listed to see what your visitors are seeing and figure out why they are visiting or what content on those Pages are drawing them in. Then try to replicate that with more Pages with similar content to those highly visited Pages.

Entry pages

Entry pages are the entry or gateway pages that users are first visiting when they come to your Famecast Portal. Visit each of the Entry Pages listed to see what your visitors are seeing and figure out why they are visiting or what content on those Entry Pages are drawing them in. Then try to replicate that with more Entry Pages with similar content to those highly visited Entry Pages.

Real-time Map

Real-time Map shows you where your Famecast Portal visitors are coming in from geographically on a world map in real time.

Visits in Real-time

Analytics Visits in Real time

Visits in Real-time shows how many visitors who have in real time on your Famecast portal. This shows visits and actions for the last 24 hours and for the last 30 minutes.

Visits Over Time

Analytics Visits Over Time

Visits Over Time shows how many visitors have come to your Famecast Portal overtime. It shows the number of visitors based on the date range you’ve selected in your filter.

Visits Overview is a overview of your Famecast Portal visitor statistics. You can see data points such as visits, unique visitors, average visit duration, visits that have bounced, actions, pageviews,, etc.

Websites

Analytics Websites

Websites shows the list of websites visited just prior to visiting your Famecast Portal. This is a good way to find out what websites link or back link to your Famecast Portal and drive traffic.

Actions: Content Name

Actions: Content Name shows you what content on your Famecast Portal is attracting and engaging your users. You can use this to figure out what content to create moving forward based on what content has attracted and engaged your users historically and currently.

Visitor Map show you where your visitors are coming from geographically on a world map.

Channel Types

Channel Types shows you what Channel Types are attracting the most traffic on your Famecast Portal. You can use this to figure out what Channel Types to create content for moving forward based on what Channel Types has attracted and engaged your users historically and currently.

Visits by Day of Week

Analytics Visits by Day of Week

Visits by Day of Week shows Famecast Portal visits broken down by the day of the week. You can use this data point to figure out on what day of the week to best schedule your content based on when your Famecast Portal visitors are coming in historically and currently.

Referrers

Analytics Referrers

Referrers shows which websites/webpages by URLs are referring the most traffic to your Famecast Portal. This gives you a good idea of which referral websites or type of websites to concentrate on when trying to drive more traffic to your Famecast Portal.

Search Engines

Search Engines shows which search engines are referring the most traffic to your Famecast Portal. This gives you a good idea of which search engines to concentrate on when trying to drive more traffic to your Famecast Portal.

Social Networks

Social Networks shows which social media networks are referring the most traffic to your Famecast Portal. This gives you a good   idea of which social media networks to concentrate on when trying to drive more traffic to your Famecast Portal.
