Event Room: This is an online meeting room with participants, which can be used for interactive classes, seminars, etc. An Event Room is like Zoom and it is an online conference meeting room where you can conduct classes, seminars, conferences. Consultations, meet-and-greets, group chats, Ask Me Anythings (AMAs) and more. You and your Participants in your Event Room will be able to join with their PC and a web browser (Chrome recommended), webcam and microphone, where all Participants will be on screen and can strike up conversations online.

Live Stream (Solo): This is a live stream event with only you in the Event Room (no other participants). A Live Stream (Solo) allows you to broadcast to your users (one-way, no user participation) to do conduct live streams, online shows, classes, seminars, and more.

Live Stream of Event Room with Participants: This is a live stream of you and your Event Room participants. This Event Type combines the Event Room and a Live Stream to create a hybrid Event Type with two types of Users – Participants and Live Stream Viewers. Particpants in your Event Room will be able to join with their PC and a web browser (Chrome recommended), webcam and microphone, where all Participants will be on screen and can strike up conversations online. You and your Participants will then be broadcasted live to your Live Stream users, who can watch but not participate. Participants and Live Stream Users will be able to all use Live Chat so Live Stream Users can still ask questions via text chat but they will not appear on screen or be able to talk.

Self-Hosted Live Stream: This is a live stream that you host on your own streaming software (e.g. OBS Studio, Wirecast, Zoom, etc.) or hardward encoder (e.g. Blackmagic). We will provide you with your RTMP URL before your event, which you need to enter into your streaming software. The Self-Hosted Live Stream is for Creators that are using a separate software or hardware encoder to produce their event but want to plug that into their Famecast Event system to be able to sell tickets and live stream to their users. Most encoding software provide a place where to plug in your RTMP URL, where the software or hardware encoder will then send the encoded live stream to our servers for streaming to your Famecast-powered users.
